The rotor is easy to work on... once it's out and on the floor ;).  It's really only a big job to remove the first time you do it.  After you do it once or twice and figure out some tricks, it doesn't take long to have it out.  At 400 acres, if you ever have it out, it'll likely only be once or twice in a span of several years unless you add some acres.  A 1688 would be pretty sweet, especially if it has a specialty or afx rotor which it probably does.
