Somewhat of an update: talked with the state director of the Corn Growers a few minutes ago. He affirmed that as far as he knew, the only manufacturer offering a flex fuel 1/2 ton 2019 pickup at this time is Ford. GM and Dodge aren't. Said something along the lines of the last time the CAFE standards were negotiated, it inadvertently (or not?) left out the credit to the manufacturer's to offer flex fuel vehicles. I have no idea what that credit consists of. I guess this was the year that the change took place. I couldn't get all the details of the deal, didn't have a good connection. Anyway, it appears that at least for the time being, I'm not in the market for a new GM or Ram pick up.

If anyone has any different info, I'd be interested in hearing it. Its not that its a big deal because it may or may not affect me: I think its a big deal to every US corn grower in my opinion.

My best guess is the oil lobbyists at work.
