EC SoDak | I’m not a believer we are in a farm crisis yet. This tradewar certainly has the ability to spark that fuse if demand doesn’t return. Insurance definitely helps soften a possible blow on a theoretical level in a short crisis situation, although tends to cost more than it returns. In general, the Midwest is seeing a lot of downsizing, jockeying, and restraint, likely lead by banker’s decisions for the majority. A hard drop in prices next year would likely have severe effects on the ag economy for most. | |
