Young farmers have it easier today than my generation did going through a real farm crisis. I haven’t seen a single farmer forced out around here in the last 10 years, so something must be holding the net pretty high. That net is crop insurance. You have a guaranteed revenue if you hedge your insured bushels. Keep your cost under control and you will be in business as long as you want even without a mfp handout.
