Subject: RE: land prices dropping

Anderson County Kansas
It was down the road from me and it was a good farm and I wanted to buy it, the same way I have made the decision to purchase land for 30 years. I have had one of my best years I ever had in 2018. There are several others that have as well that is why land is higher than ever here. Our average bean yield is around 40 bushel, and the last 3 years they have averaged 70. Corn yields have been above average as well. We have had 6 years in a row of well above average yields. I realize that we are due for some bad weather and it will come, but for some of us it won't be the end of the world.
