We planted with Range Point for 1 year.      That was 1 year too many.

Were on 20" rows and the guess rows ranged from 0" (overlapping) to 40".    We ended up using markers all the time and constantly nudging the line over to where it was supposed to be.


Not only that but the amount of drift on the end rows made using auto section control impossible/worthless.    While planting a 30 acre field the end rows drifted more than 15'.    So if I had planted that with auto section control there would have been a 15' gap at one end and 15' of overlap at the other end.


Based off of my 1 year free trial (came with the screen) I wouldn't pay a single penny for Range Point.



If you are buying a screen, I would look for a used screen that is already unlocked to RTK.    Then if possible in your area get setup with Digi Farm RTK.    If you already have an I-Pad (on a cellular plan) ~$800 would buy the equipment you need and then its a $750/year subscription cost.
