I read recently that the average age of the American farmer is 57 ........ going to be a lot of sales in a few years.
For a lot of guys "57" is just when you get too a financial position were you can make things happen... if u got enough cash , no til & todays machinery a guy can farm as long as ones health holds.......maybe 2 biggest things are -What will be my purpose in life if I quit/retire & how much money will we need if we live another 25 yrs.? ........all those "things" like boating,cottage,motor home,ect. look great when you are young but when you pass 65 you (me) kinda lose interest in it---2 best things we did was go to Eygpt & Europe |
