Thanks for posting these articles KC. They reiterate what JonKS has been saying over and over for months now. Putting the tariff issue aside and recognizing it for what it is, the quiet war on ethanol is as big or bigger deal than the tariffs. In spite of this we hear little about it and nobody ever really says much on here when Jon mentions it. Mr. Trump claims to be a friend of the farmer but he has consistently allowed the EPA to side with big oil by allowing EPA to continue to grant RIN waivers that are undermining the RFS. Make no mistake about it big oil declared war on ethanol a long time ago but now they have an ally at EPA and most likely in the White House that is helping them to gut RFS and ethanol. Do the patriots on here realize that basically a third of our corn crop goes into ethanol? Couple that with the fact that we seem to be capable of raising bigger and bigger corn crops what does everyone think we are going to do with all of this corn if they finally succeed in killing ethanol or a least a major share of it? Raise alternative crops? What would they suggest we raise especially with our soybean market currently on it's ear due to tariffs and big production? That leaves taking acres out of production. How do they propose we accomplish that? You can talk about cutting COP and things going back to the way they used to be before ethanol but that is completely unrealistic when you look at what ethanol has come to mean to the US farmer. Even if we wanted to we couldn't go back. That horse has already left the barn. Again, thanks for sharing those articles.
