The coldest day on the columbia, is mild in comparison to your normal winter day. It's the east wind that makes it feel cold to the human. It's a beautiful river and boat traffic is year round. It can get pretty ruough in the wind. The columbia river bar is one of the more dangerous in the world. I would'nt get too close to the bar.
