Tuscola, IL | You really need to do the roll cal the correct way with the tool out of the ground and marking the center of the tractor. Not that what you’re doing won’t work, but you need to know if it’s actually a roll cal issue and this is the only way to know for sure.
28-32” is about all you can expect from the system you are running. Should be better than 36-24” though.
I recently had a guy running a strip til machine on rtk having similar issues. I had him do a roll cal the correct way then go back and drop tool in the ground, mark center of drawbar on the tractor and repeat to see where the drawbar was in relation to his last pass. He found out that with the tool out of the ground, the roll cal was perfect. When he dropped the tool, it actually pulled the back of the tractor offline 6”.
Unfortunately, the only way to get true 30” guess rows is implement guidance. | |
