Mid Michigan | I would think the checkbook would be a big part of the decision for an older guy hanging it up. A lot of old guys can afford to farm as bad as they want too. Kind of like Tony Beets on Gold Rush. He doesn't need Parker to come in and rescue him and mine his claims for him. He could park everything until he died and be just fine letting the place sit if he wanted to. If a guy can afford the property taxes he can do everything or nothing. | |
