Btw, driving a tractor or combine is the fun part of farming so I'm not sure everyone will be in line to buy a robot so they can spend more time in the office.
Isn’t that what auto steer/auto track is? The robotic driving of the machine just needs to get smarter to watch for breakdowns and changes to performance that indicate a problem. Whether that’s the pull of a tillage tool is different from previous 3 passes because a shovel broke off or a tire is flat to adjusting the combine or planter for optimum performance.
It’s coming but just might be a few decades before there’s a robotic option for most tasks on the farm. |
