| Ok, maybe you don't farm so you don't get it. Farming is a business like any other but we cry and get subsidies and other small businesses don't. The labor portion is not farming but basically a tool to accomplish tasks. Robots, driverless tractors do not take over the business of farming. At best it means you don't have to hire Cletus who knows everything and is way smarter than the boss to run your tractor into a tree. At worst it's another expensive machine to maintain and chase around when it breaks.
Btw, driving a tractor or combine is the fun part of farming so I'm not sure everyone will be in line to buy a robot so they can spend more time in the office.
