Subject: RE: Water treatment system in livestock barn

Monett Missouri
We use dosatrons at the barn to add water line cleaner. Not sure what you are adding for a cleaner or at what percentage but I have a siphon that adds proxyclean at 3% I believe. Just hook hoses up and stick siphon hose in product jug. I think you can buy siphons that add different percentages. Depending on what product you are cleaning lines with.
Edit: not sure how far your well house is from barns but treating all that extra water can be costly. 2” inch lines to all four barns is a lot of extra treated water for me. My neighbor uses a huge dosatron to treat at his well house. If you do use your medicators just drop suction hose in clean water and continue to run it. This will flush out the cleaner.
