Dufur, OR | I believe the thought with 5g and net neutrality is that a person would have MANY options to choose from because it is wireless instead of only perhaps one cable provider. By having many choices for high speed, competition amongst the providers would effectively force net neutrality. If your current provider was doing something you didn't like there would likely be one available that wasn't. When the only choice for good high speed is the fiber or cable company they have a little bit more of a monopoly thing. I still don't worry much about the net neutrality because the internet is competitive in all aspects and if you alienate customers they will find a way to switch (and therefore force change) without the government needing to regulate it. | |
