North Dakota
I still don't understand why some states are so far behind on fiber to the home! We have had fiber for 10 years in a 2000 pop town and the all the rural areas for 8. I don't think there is anyone in North Dakota that does not have access to fiber with at least a 50 meg line. It has to be something to do with your local providers not willing to take a chance or their stuck in the 70's maybe. I had fiber to the home 5 years before my brother had access to a 50 meg line in a Kansas City suburb.

The phone company has a written guarantee that they will never filter any content and to make sure that the pipeline isn't filtered they are using 3 different pipes coming from Fargo and Grand Forks. The cable company that has about 25% of the market in town has the policy but only has one pipe provider.
