Northwest Illinois | From my own experience, I hope Mayo will take your case. I had a total shoulder replacement done there 2 1/2 years ago. Six weeks in a sling, but twice a day passive exercising was done.( Passive meaning my wife was controlling all the motions without any assistance from me.) Mayo physical therapy trained us what to do before being released from the hospital. I did not have to go to any rehab facilities. I was doing limited physical activity 8 weeks post surgery, gradually working in more and more activity. My therapy was painless, and now have full painless motion back in this shoulder. My only restriction is a weight limit on how much I can lift with that shoulder. | |
