McLeod County, MN
SoDak Farms - 8/17/2018 11:59

While I think 191 or whatever the USDA put out might be a touch lofty, I don’t think that because southern MN flooded means the state has to be horrible.

A touch lofty? It took a giant chunk of our state last year to produce at or above RECORD crops to reach 194 (like 75%). This year at least 50-60% of the state will fall well short of last year's crop, with about 25-30% that is probably more than 50 bushels below last year. So how in the world can we even get close? Nobody is claiming a total trainwreck for the statewide crop. I think 10% below last year and that equates to 174.6 BPA.

I have a some 230-250 BPA corn. When you balance it out with the 0-30 and 30-75 corn I get to about 170-180 on my crop.
