Those bolts you talk about, if I know what you're talking about, those thread up through the pan above the mill and are there to slow down the flow of ear corn. Thread them up higher and it restricts the ear corn, turn them down and the ear corn can slide in faster.

I use to mix cattle feed, ran the corn through a 3/4" screen. Run the tractor slow and put the corn in as fast as possible. Higher flow = less beat up corn.

We grind hog feed through a 3/16" screen.

The clutch for the unloading auger needs to be lubed and adjusted periodically. Lube does wonders on that thing.

The mixing auger could have possibly been damaged by the rods coming loose and letting the tube fall down, really hard to guess without seeing it. Shouldn't be too much of a job to replace the tube though.

I really could use a new grinder but since a new one like what I've got is around $30,000 I'm just going to keep on fixing on it for a while. Once warmer weather gets here she needs some TLC.
