Thanks for the replies guys. I wouldn't be mixing much feed compared to most of you. Probably 40 Ton per year. Bulk ingredient handling wouldn't be needed. Looks like I could get a nice grinder for 4-5,000 according to tractor house, possibly less.

I got the tractor and the corn. It just doesn't make sense to me to haul the corn to town, pay to store it, then pay to mix it and have it delivered. Then are you REALLY getting what you told them to mix? Then trying to get the semi here in the winter time can be an issue in bad weather.

Dad always has and still does grind his own feed. Just wanted others' opinion....
