Subject: RE: Crop Conditions: By State Table

west central illinois
Your preaching to the choir here. At the time of pollination in our neck of the woods I said it was too warm especially at night and shortened considerably the time frame for good pollination. Some argue it was during vegetation growth I beg to differ for us anyway. Here are the temps for us at beginning silk for 9 days starting on June27 90-73, 90-70, 97-72, 97-77, 95-73, 90-68, 91-70, 91-70, 95-73, 97-77. Everyday above 90 and only one night below 70. This corn crop has been pushed entirely too fast all year long. It looks like Sept13th instead of August 13th around here and also soybeans are suffering to stay alive right now. Drive rt 24 across the state and rt 34 like I did yesterday tell me what you see. I saw a tremendous amount of upside down brown husk syndrome. Best area was from Galesburg to Kewanee. Illinois down 5% still think we go 207?
