My dad had a ‘48 Jeep
that they used extensively on the farm. It had a PTO and governor. They used it about every day on a Grainovator auger wagon to keep hog feeders full. It pulled a grain drill and hay wagons. They had an engate seeder on it and a belt pulley to run flat belts. When I was a kid we used it to run the grain elevator(corn dump) for countless hours. Also had a fence roller rigged up on it and it was our go to vehicle for building fence or chasing cows.
We pulled it out of the shed where it was parked since the 70’s a few years ago and got it running again. It was then that I realized why dad retired it. Those things were designed for young and limber operators not old fat ones.

Being a FOG (fat old guy), I can certainly relate to your last comment. But the rest of your post sounds like it came from an early Jeep ad. Thanks for posting.
