30's wont canopy consistently, or early enough on lighter sand I plant. Expect more spraying with 30s, less white mould, faster planting, and possibly lower yield.
Best scenario, sell the planter and drill. Buy a 6/11 or 8/15 interplant for both crops. Maybe look for some custom planting work to help pay for it?
If you are talking a really small acreage of beans, could always double plant with your 30" corn planter.
