Silver Creek MN
Welcome to the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and many more taxes. While in the Minneapolis area, avoid the Mall of America as you would the Plague. Lot's of underserved youth there who will ruin your day. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum would be well worth the hike to the west end of the metro. If you like horticulture at all, you will be in heaven there. Not too far west of there is a favorite of Wierd Al Yankovic, The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota, in Darwin. Again, on the west side of the metro, is Waconia Wine Country - three nice little wineries (one is also a brewery) within a few miles of each other. There is some heavy duty road construction going on near downtown on I=35, stay away from that. Nice winery near Kimball that has tours of the winery and vineyard. Again, stay out of the downtown and away from the road construction. Go west, young man!
