I don’t think it would be too hard to retrain the consumer, and magically people somehow bought high priced jeans in the 80s with cash. Th reason many people go back to wlamnart time after time is because what they bought is already in the dumpster. Remove the cheap #### from the shelves and replace it with quality products and people will adjust. Do we apply the cheap ass theory to medicine? To lawyers or plumbers? No we want quality in all the professional areas, so it is not as though people are alien to the notion. I opined to my wife last night that a large dominoes pizza is the same price today as 1991, not that it is a related notion, but it sure is scary! |
