...I was reading the comments on the article last night and there were an alarming number of people that were stating the farmer was in the wrong and should have been "aware" of his surroundings and yielded to the truck, really?..
Dad got hit in the rear pulling the swather down the highway.
Got sued by the driver. Not visible enough and should have taken a country road. Origin was a field along the highway. Destination was a field along the highway. Fellow argued he should have gone four miles out of his way (no through road a mile north or south) to avoid the middle mile of his shy-of three mile trip. Grandad with CATARACTS saw the accident from two miles behind. Grandad stopped, took driver and kids to hospital...guy was on his phone the whole way there. Wonder where the phone was right before the wreck. |
