Sorry.......blanket statements just don't work around here.......not in agriculture....not ever. We have soil types that cannot be no-tilled........some that can be no-tilled, and some that can be no-tilled and outyield and fields surrounding them year after year....soil types vary that much by going across the road.......and I'm supposed to sit and listen to Ed say that no-till works everywhere from his farm in Ohio. I'll be the first to admit, we were overly wet this spring, but the conditions where VERY similar to what Newguy, Greywolf, and others see on an annual basis. If we wouldn't have broken out the tillage tools we wouldn't have been able to plant some of our ground until the 4th of July.
