Bruce,

Didn't you know?? Ed and old "Hackny" know everything about your farm, conditions and what works and doesn't work. If you can make it work, great. At least you're doing something trying to reduce dirt moved and washed. I witnessed last spring the exact reason why it doesn't work for you when I was over your way this spring. We were to the point where we couldn't use one coulter. Maybe like you say in Ohio that works but when our ground is wet, it gets sticky. Turning up wet black dirt 3' in front of the planter is NOT a good idea in even our soils unless you like taking wheels off and using a screwdriver.
