Its not for profit becuase ive tested stips almost every season and its not yielded more yet. we have yet to see variable rate "pay"
In some areas VR can "pay" much better than others. Since we do not know where you are from Chap, it may not apply as much in your area. When you have yields from 40 to 240 in a field, VR can pay huge dividends in yield and or cost savings. Light sandy ground will often yield better with much lower population due to having a harvestable ear instead of no ears or very small ones that fall through the head. VR is not all about more yield, many times is more about applying what you need where you need it. Having great zones helps with this. Poor zones will result in poor results. |
