Subject: RE: RTK NTRIP base stations

I first used subscription NTRIP RTK-correction service for 3 years.

Last spring put I up my own base. A used Trimble NetRS reference receiver + Zephyr geodetic antenna + a used PC running free SNIP NTRIP Caster. It worked quite fine and was low cost.
It is GPS only but if the antennas on both base and rovers (tractor combines...) have good sky view it good enough for farming.

This winter I updated the base receiver to a used NerR5. It has also GLONASS which maybe gives me better performance next to trees with my CFX-750.
Still using the Zephyr Geodetic model 1 antenna on base. It is not rated for glonass, but seems to receive them.
Both of these receivers (NetRS and NetR5) can output CMR and RTCM3.
NetR5 has an internal NTRIP caster and can serve 5 clients without a PC.

Bought also a low cost multi constallation chinese geodetic antenna from ali axpresss. This about 100 dollar antenna gives about same S/N ratio on GPS and GLONASS satellites as Zephyr Geodetic model 1.

These are not by no means recommendations. Just examples of what can used.

If I would have to give a recommendation it would be:
