EC Kansas | Drove 2017 models of each last summer while vehicle shopping for wife. As others have said the Edge has the advantage in back seat room and ride. However the Escape hood slopes down more like a car and gives much better forward visibility and depth perception, a real advantage in a parking lot. The Edge has a hood more like a pickup, my wife didn't like that at all. I thought visibility was better in all directions in the Escape, hard to tell a lot just test driving. My wife preferred the Escape so that's what we ended up with, we also have a F150 4 door to fall back on if we need more room. Otherwise the Edge or something bigger would have been the choice. | |
