Subject: RE: Tillage Options in your area on cotton ?

Murfreesboro, Tennessee
We are all no till, and noticed the same thing with the cotton starting a little slower. Just assumed it was the nature of the beast where we lived.

I would really like to research if starter fertilizer helps young cotton in a no till environment, but never sat down to do it. The idea of strip tilling is also intriguing.

Not raised cotton in 2 years, but the last time we planted it, we ran a Great Plains turbo till ahead of the planter and we really liked the results. It seemed to help the ground dry out just a little, and there was enough loose dirt to cover the seed.
