Why remove the fertilizer tank? We bought a 16 row 1250 with a tank, with no plans to use it for starter. But now, its there and we plan to plant some conventional corn, we will use it to apply insecticide in furrow. You never know and its not really in the way or heavy to carry it empty if you aren't using it.
