Subject: RE: Searching for new ripper

Brookston, IN
I got a 530B this summer to run along with our 870. I have lead shanks on the front, 7" Nichols points on all shanks. I added a Remlinger basket as well. Played around with the front disc depth, disc leveler depth, and Remlinger rolling basket for a few days getting them adjusted and now it does a very comparable job to the 870 for about 1/3 the price. It is far smoother than the 2500 inline I ran the year before. I have a little 35 horse utility that I pick up rocks the ripper reveals and I can pretty much cut accross the field however I would like, with the 2500 you pretty much ran with the ripper pass or you went really slow to not get beat up.
