Subject: RE: New ground from CRP, PLC or ARC?

The simulations from the universities when this farm bill was new showed strong ARC payments initially then significant reductions, and PLC starting out low and rising with years.

The farm bill was written to make us farmers think we would get paid while to congress it looks like they won't pay very much and to the WHO its not enough to be a subsidy.

I went to three explanatory meetings back then and at the end of each made a public claim that I wrote in the previous paragraph, then I suggested a way to make the decision. I suggested making a wall poster with the three options and with it on a wall throw something at it that would leave a mark, like pig turd and make the decision that way.

My tenant and I decided that despite the majority of farmers around here going ARC Co, that we went PLC, and the check in 2017 was a lot bigger than the check in 2016 but not enough to cover the poor crop prices this year, yet some spendable income.
