NC Ohio | That's what I was alluding to. If they are in the mood your combination might scale out at 24,000, but if your truck is at 9,000 and your trailer is at 15,000 you are over your "rated capacity" of the trailer and still getting a ticket if they feel like it.
On the opposite end, if you load too much on the truck there is also a chance you could have the same combination weight and be over your allowable truck weight or rear axle weight.
When toeing the line of rated capacity "by the books" balancing your load properly is pretty important. | |
