NW Iowa | I ran a 105EB gas with a 635 head for 19 years. It was bought used and very abused. The first couple of years I was ready to put a stick of dynamite under it but after I got it fixed up it was a very dependable machine. That heavy dinosaur of a noisy slow horsepower eating 635 head was another story. I averaged 500 bushels per hour in 140-150 bushel corn dumping into wagons on the end of the field. I doubt very much if the clean grain elevator was capable of 1200 bushels per hour no matter how fast it was sped up. It was a 1966 model with factory air conditioning and high hours so I suspect it started it's life as a custom harvester machine. | |
