Subject: RE: Deere 105 combine

Massey had the capacity, but sure didn't overbuild them. Had a MF 750, and a 6600 Deere. The straw walkers in the MF were way lighter metal than the Deere, the tranny in the Massey lost 3rd gear, and the mechanic took it out and lifted it by himself, he told me it was common for 3rd to wear out because that's what most people ran in. Deere trans looked to be twice the size.
