If you have prior existing condition, such as diabetes, high blood presdure, etc, then market place ins can be very affordable, maybe even your only option. I was on it from the time it came out till I went on medicare last year. Health ins premiums went from almost $30,000/ year with high deductibles and poor coverage to under $10,000 with a low deductible and best coverage I ever had
