Sometimes you need a skidsteer to get in places where a tractor loader can't. Some JCB dealers rent skidsteers to contractors for the winter for snow removal and maybe you could rent one like they do for a few months to see how you would like it before you spent a very large amount of money. I went through this a few years ago too and instead of buying a skidsteer with a cab, I bought a loader tractor with a cab. I was able to use it to haul in with and mow roadsides too. For me the loader tractor was the better decision but sometimes I wish I had a skidsteer with a cab. I still have my old skidsteer and still use it but on cold days I think about my decision every day I get on it.
