That's our experience too..... must be poorer quality bearings and a few other things because silly stuff goes bad on our Claas but in the long run our Claas has been way cheaper to maintain than our Deere ever thought to be.
Only other odd thing happen last year we had the feeder drum break the spot welds on the side where the end plate is welded on the drum. Easy fix and I welded it all the way around instead of three spot welds on a 10" plate. Be one thing I would check if I could. Also forgot we did the rotor bearings this year as a PM. One was about gone. The new ones are supposed to be a lot better. I still grease them daily. As mentioned in a previous post I use good Delvac Extreme grease and hit things more often since the bearing failure last year. 50 hours is not enough. 10hrs on them with 5-10 pumps and hope it helps keep them lubed better. Mechanic said to do this, so far so good. |
