I do it to make money.
I farm to make money. Just don’t tell anyone.
My wife farms because she truly loves it. She’s the only person I know who walks straight through the combine dust whether it’s barley or not. :)
There is no job I’m capable of doing my whole life where I’d make anywhere near as much.
Farming is a lot about deferred gratuity. Your early years are pretty(horribly) tight but it should snowball into pretty big profits.
