It's because they are gearing these trucks for no drivers. They will have on board computers telling them everything the truck needs to know and will drive itself to it destination. I only wonder who will thaw out frozen brakes and when a deer runs in front of generator number 3, now what happens? George Jetson come and fix it? Seriously trucking companies are behind the driverless truck big time. Their biggest cost is the driver and then fuel so this is music to their ears. I wonder when a glitch happens and a stopped school bus is rear ended and nobody is in the cab to write a ticket to, then what?
