2166 here, I mounted a piece of rubber belting across the top half of my feeder house throat opening.  The problem is that the slats on the feeder house chain are "U" shaped.   The slats will gather shelled corn and throw it out as it comes around the front drum.   The rubber belting has removed that problem.
