So, I finally got all the components put in a 2166 and getting ready to setup, calibrate, etc. Noticed it won't hold the correct date and research on NAT says I need a new battery. I am just wanting to start to figure out what all I can learn on this thing so not planning on major mapping, variable rate and such this time. Just want to make sure everything is working. so, until I get a new battery in, is there any big issue of just getting up and running with the wrong date? I am thinking I will check and see if there is a new firmware to be installed. But, I can do all that this winter or before wheat harvest.

On a side note, I picked up most of these parts either new or used on NAT, etc and I was really surprised how it all went in on the 2166. If all goes as planned, thinking we found all the components for ~$1000. Lots of great advice from NAT folks.

Thanks,

Rick
