Cornfarmer, I agree that receiver quality has a lot to do with accuracy, as does number of GPS satellites visible above elevation mask and GPS satellite geometric (PDOP) factors. For your case, I would think Beacon would give considerably better performance that WAAS. Assuming WAAS and Beacon position accuracy degrade at same rate as you move away from nearest ground reference station, then Beacon should be giving you about 2 meter better position performance than WAAS, on average.

FWIW, WAAS folks are planning new ground reference stations in Canada, maybe you will luck out so don't sell WAAS receivers, yet.
