Subject: RE: Getting cows bred on fescue pasture (update)

Reality, is if you had 100 cows in breeding pasture this year the extra cost of the "fescue mineral" would be a cost assigned to 22 (25-3) which would not have stayed in the herd without special treatment of the whole herd? Since these 22 couldn't do it on what the 75% could, they become equivalent to a cow that weans a dink calf. A cow that weans a dink calf would quickly become a big Mac in most cowherds. Is more real progress made toward a profitable herd allowing these cows to fall out?
