Were these plots dry land or irrigated? With those yields I guess you got enough rain at the right times it didn't really mater though. From the 110,000 to the 140,000 seed population do you see increased weed pressure in the lower population? I have been planting just over 140,000 mainly because the beans seem to canopy faster than with lower population. I am planting twin rows on 38" beds. I was meeting with a rep from a major supplier of LL beans back a few weeks ago and asked about things he thought I could do to increase yield and he mentioned planting less seed per ac.
