Concordia, KS | I would want at least a full rotation cycle of yield data, preferably with a poor and great year in there. I don't work with Apex, but there has to be a way to normalize yield data. Split a field into at least 4 groups, depending on size, and run from there. Chances are, the good ground will test low and the poor ground will test high.
If you wanted to get really fancy, use a grid to help with pH, Phos, and other nutrients and let the zone drive the N and S refs based on yield potential. Otherwise, group zones based off from historic yield data and roll. | |
