Depending on your location, you could possibly still use wheat in that time frame. We've seeded wheat for harvest up until November 7. Triticale seed is to expensive for a cover crop in my opinion. You might consider oats and buckwheat seeded early spring (mid March here) and give it 30-45 days of growth.
